Operational elements of the work of the Council are undertaken by a series of Committees. For 2012/2013, the composition of the Commitees is as follows:
 

FINANCE AND GOVERNANCE    Deals with the policy and financial functions of the council and ensures the Council meets its necessary regulations.

BUILDINGS                                 Has an overview of all buildings owned by the council and the services they provide – includes the Town Hall, chapels, toilet (the structure) and bus shelters.

SITES AND FACILITIES                Management of sites and facilities managed by the council – includes allotments, pocket park (maintenance and safety checks), skate park (maintenance and safety checks), churchyard, cemetery (grounds maintenance only), and Cross Street toilet.

ENVIRONMENT                          Covering highways maintenance, street lights, street cleaning, street furniture, rights of way, (hanging baskets), Christmas lights (erection and safety)

PLANNING                                  Deals with review and commenting on planning applications

STRATEGIC PLANNING               Implementing the existing Parish Plan and developing that into new forward planning across whole parish.

EVENTS                                       Co-ordinates key town events.
