‘Taking ‘Locality Matters’ Forward
In the Spring/Summer of 2016 Locality Matters was commissioned by the Town, District and County Councils to look at Eye and make some proposals about the potential for local people to play a far more significant role in the design, commissioning and delivery of public services or reducing demand for these services.
Its proposals are based on a wide range of conversations with the people of Eye and with the people who provide services to Eye. They are set out in this presentation……
The proposals received strong support from the community at a meeting on the 20th September 2016.
The Town Council is committed to implementing as many of the Locality Matters proposals as possible. To help with this it has employed a Projects Co-ordinator – Andy Robinson. Andy can be contacted on 07771 942583 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Work is currently underway with the Ipswich and East Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group, Community Health and Social Care to look at how the community can help prevent physical and mental ill health in the local population and how Hartismere Hospital can be better used.
This will build on workshops with representatives of community groups that work with older and young people in the Town that identified some actions that would improve the way things currently work:
Getting funding for your organisation or project will be an important part of achieving more in Eye for people in Eye. The attached funding briefing is updated regularly.
