(PCC) Tim Passmore began their series of ‘on tour’ events today,
with a visit to Eye town centre.
The Chief and PCC set up base with the mobile police station,
along with members of the local Safer Neighbourhood Team and
Community Safety officers, to spend time speaking with local
Today’s event was the first in a series of visits which will see
them visit towns across the county throughout the summer.
Chief Constable Douglas Paxton said: “We had a great time in Eye
today and I’m very pleased that a number of people came along to
speak with me and the Commissioner.
“A range of topics were discussed, including local issues for
the town, as well as broader issues affecting policing for the
county at the moment.
“It is really important that we get out in our local areas and
listen to the opinions of the people we serve, and this is a
fantastic way to do this.
“I hope that many more people will come along and see us at the
next event in Lowestoft.”
PCC Tim Passmore said: “Meeting the community in Eye today was a
great opportunity to hear first-hand the policing issues affecting
people in the district.
“The ‘on tour’ event is part of a wider public engagement
programme which includes a series of public meetings across the
county and my public surgeries which I hold on the first Monday of

The ‘On Tour’ event will be held on the following dates. The
mobile police station will be open from 10am-3pm. The Chief and PCC
will be present from 11am-2pm*.
