Christmas Lights & Late Night Shopping 2016
Friday 2nd December.
The road will be closed in the centre of town from 4pm to allow for setup and will remain closed until 8pm.
We are hoping for local groups and organisations to take part by running craft stalls, food stalls, carnival games, performances or anything else which can bring extra interest to the evening whilst giving your organisation a chance to raise funds and awareness.
If you would like to be involved then a pitch is free, but we would require that you supply your own table, cover against the elements, battery lighting and a photocopy of your public liability insurance. If you need help with any one of these, just let us know and we will try our best to help. We have a few spaces available in marquees left if you don’t have your own cover.
If you’re not already planning to be there, we hope you can be involved and help make this year the best Christmas evening yet!

Come along to Eye Town Hall Xmas Craft fair on Saturday 5th November from 10am- 3pm. At this free event there will 18 stalls selling hand crafted unique items produced by local people. Come and meet our crafters who love to show you the distinctive things they make. We have stalls featuring cards, individual hand beaded and sequined Xmas decorations, hand knitted and crocheted accessories.
Beautiful gemstone and vintage jewellery will also be on sale which would make an ideal gift for the special person in your life. We will also have some exceptional stained glass and ceramics. There will some vintage stalls selling china which is beautifully presented ready to be wrapped. Most of the crafters will take individual commissions so you have time to order a bespoke gift in time for Xmas.
The Eye Town Hall Improvement Company will be selling The Eye Town Cook book which is full of tasty recipes and all profits will go towards the renovations of the Eye Town Hall. A great gift for all those master chef fans.
