Drama at The Bank

EyesWrite presents four new plays.
Plays on difficult topics – child violence, family life and dementia.

EyesWrite is proud to present four new one-act plays by local Suffolk writers.

Two of the plays by Roger Curtis, “Black Pearl” and “Child Star”, both vastly different in content and style. Roger is a long standing member of The Theatre Royal Writers in Bury St Edmunds. One play is a gothic tale while the other deals with the more serious subject of violence and children.

“Carnivores”, a gruesome tale, has been written by an up and coming writer, David Howgego, and tells us of what happens when a family of chefs sit down to eat. David has written for EyesWrite on other occasions and his plays have always been well received.

“Still Me”, a poignant play that deals with the problems of dementia and is set in a home for the elderly, has been written by local writer Josie Fuller. This is her debut play and we are sure it will not be her last.

Goodbye Christopher Robin (PG)

Milne (Domhnall Gleeson) and his son Christopher Robin, whose toys inspired the magical world of Winnie the Pooh. Along with his mother Daphne (Margot Robbie), and his nanny Olive (Kelly MacDonald), Christopher Robin and his family are swept up in the international success of the books; the enchanting tales bringing hope and comfort to many after the First World War but the cost to the family may be greater than any of them anticipated.
