Hundreds of people across the region gathered for Remembrance services on Sunday to pay tribute to those who gave their lives in almost one hundred years of conflicts.

Plans have been lodged with Mid Suffolk District Council for a 60-bedroom care home on undeveloped land behind Hartismere Hospital in Eye.
The proposals, on behalf of Care UK, also include a separate community well-being centre which the developers say will provide 25 day care places for local elderly people, many of whom will be dementia sufferers. Read more
The proposed £200 million gas-fired power station to be built at Eye airfield has been backed in principle by the Suffolk County Council cabinet.
The cabinet, although supporting the plans in a cabinet meeting yesterday, still have concerns regarding the proposed station, earmarked for a 2018 opening. Read more
