MONDAY 8TH MAY 11AM-3PM
On Monday 8th May it’s the Big Help Out. This is a National Day of Volunteering which forms part of the Coronation weekend celebrations. The day’s about inspiring people to volunteer for the first time and will help community groups, within Eye Suffolk, recruit more volunteers to support valued activities. This has been developed by The Scout Association and the Royal Voluntary Service and organised by the Together Coalition who want to inspire a new generation of community volunteers.
At 1st Eye Scout Group, we will be hosting a free event for all Eye residents – just no dogs.
All Eye residents are invited to a free event being hosted by 1st Eye Scout Group so bring along a picnic if you’d like to our headquarters on Wellington Road and enjoy some free activities for both adults and kids.
We’ve got other community groups from within Eye joining us as well as the Deputy Lieutenant for Suffolk and they’ll be running fun activities too including planting some seeds and seedlings which will go towards starting our tree nursery. We’ll have some refreshments on offer as well.
We do hope that you’ll choose to come along just for a bit to see what we’re up to on Monday May 8 from 11 am until 3 pm.
