 The Role of  Town Hall & Events

It was recently decided that until further notice the Town Hall and Events Committee will be made part of the full council agenda so the committee will no longer be active. April 2023.

• To organise the maintenance of Eye Town Hall ensuring that the venue is maintained to a reasonable standard within available resources.
• To assist the clerk in the annual review of the risk assessment for the Town Hall on an annual basis and undertake any necessary action.
• To review hire agreements annually and make recommendations on the rental charges to full Council.
• To monitor and review the utilities contracts and licences.
• To market and promote the use of Eye Town Hall.
• To arrange and monitor any Events Civic or Public .
• To source funding and arrange publicity for Civic and Public Events.
•  To involve current users of the Town Hall in decisions about how it can be improved.
•  To seek financial support for the maintenance and promotion of Eye Town Hall.
•  Any other building or expenditure matters delegated by Full Council.
• Normally meets 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7.00pm in the Town Hall Council Chamber. Public always welcome
