The Eye Annual Town Meeting will be held on Wednesday May 24th 2023
All residents are invited and will be welcome to take part, as your annual opportunity to question and put views to the Eye Town Council.
The Annual Town Meeting is not a council meeting and is different to the Annual Town Council meeting. Once a year the Town Council likes to say a public thank you to those who have made a difference to the town over the previous year. The town’s electors are invited to attend this prestigious occasion.xxxxxx
The Eye Town Civic Awards are presented at this meeting.
This annual meeting also provides an account of the Eye Town Council’s progress over the past 12 months, presented by the Outgoing Mayor.zxxxxxx
The town’s partners are also included who provide their Annual Reports and are open to questions:

Eye Town Council Civic Awards for 2022
Awards were presented to three people of Eye who have made a significant difference to the quality of life in the Town of Eye over the previous Year:

Kevin Crisp was awarded a Civic Award for his proactive involvement with the youth of Eye Town as chairman of the Eye All Saints football club. He trains at least another 8 football teams of young people and has done for many years. Kevin is also chairman of the Eye Community Centre where all Eye’s residents are welcome as visitors or as members.

Julia Shepherd was awarded her Civic Award for longevity and service to the residents of Eye Town and surrounding area. Most of you who are avid or occasional readers know her as the head librarian of the Suffolk library’s Eye Town branch on Cross Street; a well-loved local librarian of over 30 years service to the community .
