Eye & District Twinning Association
The town of Eye is twinned with Pouzauges, a small town in the Vendee region of France. This active twinning link has been in existence since 1988 – we are approaching 30 years of joint community activities.
The Association is open – free of charge – to all residents of Eye and its surrounding villages. Membership of the Association is wide, and new members are always welcome.
Current members speak French to varying degrees of fluency! We seek to reassure you that the ability to speak French is not of paramount importance. While it is useful to have a little knowledge of the
language, it is not in any way essential or necessary.

Hartismere Hospital League of Friends
Did you know that some years ago the PCT proposed to close the hospital because it was not ‘fit for purpose’ and at the time the directive was for ‘care in the community’, not hospital based?
