The Pennings Nature Reserve is along the River Dove.
Views across the water meadows and the Church Tower makes this a great place to come for a relaxing walk, or a picnic.

Directions: Drive out of Eye on the B1117 to Stradbroke past Eye Castle and Eye Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul both on the left. Turn immediately right after the hump back bridge,Abbey Bridge over the River Dove signed on the right. Turn right into Ludgate Causeway and right into The Pennings.

The River Dove flows under the Abbey Bridge on its way to the Waveney Valley passing the Abbey and Abbey Hall on the other side of the B1117 to Stradbroke. Abbey Hall is worth the five minute walk with the entrance opposite to the Ludgate Causeway entrance.
Dog walkers are also welcome providing that they pick up after their dogs.
This is an area of extreme beauty offering peace and tranquility, fresh air with a chance to hear nature. The perfect place to walk a dog and enjoy every moment.
