Eye Town Council (IP23) is looking to appoint a new Clerk
Eye is looking for an enthusiastic individual, CiLCA qualified or prepared to work towards this qualification, who will work with the Town council to manage the various assets of this busy town of approximately 1850 voters. Your tasks will include preparing for and minuting evening council meetings and addressing ongoing administration, finances and correspondence in relation to the Town and its assets that include a cemetery, allotments and the Town Hall. You will also be the designated Responsible Financial Officer and the Designated Officer for weddings.
The post is 20 hours per week with a salary between £23,166 – £25,694 pro rata, commensurate with experience.

Eye Town Council (IP23) is looking to appoint a Project Co-ordinator
Eye is looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic Project Co-ordinator who will contribute to, and support the Council in researching and delivering specific projects, including strategic priorities. This will include seeking grant funding, revenue generation, event planning, marketing and preparing of promotional information.
The Project Manager will also provide basic holiday/sickness cover for the Town Clerk, although the two positions are distinct.
The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications or extensive knowledge, gained through experience, of managing projects, ideally at local government level, applying for grant funding and/or marketing. He/she must have good organisational and analytical skills, well developed interpersonal and communication skills and be IT literate.
This exciting, new position is being offered in the first instance for a 1 year term with the possibility of the role continuing after that period.
The post is 8 hours per week with a salary between £23,166 – £25,694 pro rata, commensurate with experience.

Eye Arts Club organises arts projects for children on Saturday mornings in Eye, Suffolk. We welcome children aged 7 and up, especially those with additional needs, and aim to provide an integrated, yet supported, setting for arts activities, social interaction and fun.
Activities include movement, dance, visual arts, film, animation, puppetry and maskwork.
Participants may collect credits for the Children’s University or work towards Arts Awards.
This terms sessions are 10am to 12 noon Saturdays 14 and 21 May, 4, 11, 18 and 25 June with the finale for residents at Hartismere Place on Sat 9 July (time tbc) and there will be the opportunity for movement, singing, making and more.

Eye is holding a Scarecrow Competition in conjunction with the Open Garden event that takes place over the weekend, Sat/Sun June 11th/12th.
