You may recall, in the summer of 2021, Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils – with support and expertise provided by 2020 Consultancy - began developing a parking strategy that would outline both on-street and off-street parking provision for the next 20 years.
Over the past few months, we’ve invited people to share their parking experiences to help us shape it. This included a public survey, as well as discussions with councillors, town and parish councils, local interest groups among others.
Thanks to all the feedback we received, we now have a draft parking strategy. But, as we know engagement with our stakeholders is key to its success, we now want to seek views from as many people as possible before finalising it.
In this next stage of consultation, we’re inviting anyone with an interest in parking to give their feedback on our draft strategy in a couple of ways.
These include our:
- online survey – open from today 14th June until 31 July 2022; and
- our ‘parking strategy roadshow’ with a series of drop-in events across the districts**You can find a list of dates below. Venues for each location and more info can be found on our website atwww.babergh.gov.uk/parkingstrategy and www.midsuffolk.gov.uk/parkingstrategy
Locations have been chosen so that no attendee should need to drive for more than 15-20 minutes - Visit in person at Eye Community Center and give your views and option of what the Town Needs Tuesday 28 June 10.00 – 12.00 AM
