Eye Bach Choir is inviting you to an afternoon of English songs while enjoying an afternoon tea in Eye Town Hall at 4 o’clock on Sunday 21st May. The choir will be singing well-known folk songs arranged by John Rutter in his suite ‘A Sprig of Thyme’, including The Bold Grenadier and The Keel Row. In addition, songs by other notable English composers, such as Ralph Vaughan Williams, Edward Elgar, Arthur Sullivan and Alexander L’Estrange, will evoke a sunny, tranquil, afternoon in May.
Tickets are £12 and include afternoon tea, (under 26s half price) available from The Handyman in Eye, https://www.wegottickets.com/eyebachchoir and via our website at www.eyebachchoir.co.uk
In 2024 Eye Bach Choir will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary and plans are afoot to present a Festival of Music in Eye in May 2024, so watch out for notices about it. We are a professionally rehearsed choir under our Musical Director, Leslie Olive and our accompanist, Karen Smith. We meet on Friday evenings in Eye Town Hall between September and May. About 40 strong in number, we are always keen to welcome new members who would like to explore the benefits of singing and to enjoy the friendship and camaraderie of being part of a team. We encourage people to come to rehearsals free of charge for a few weeks to try us out. More details can be found on our website
