Eye church campaign gets unexpected £50,000 boost
The Eye Parish Church Development Campaign has received an unexpected, but very welcome boost by the promise of a £50,000 donation.
The congregation at last Sundays’ service were told by Father Ron Casebow that he would be giving the money in memory of his late wife, Ethel, who died on Boxing Day 2012, to put towards the new organ console.
Director of music, Peter Lee said this generous gesture coupled with the money already in the organ fund, would mean that the new installation could be in place by the autumn of 2014.
The August charity for the NSPCC raised £43. This months’ charity is for Woolverston Wish, Cancer Unit and Ipswich to refurbish outpatient clinics.
