Worlingworth has been named Suffolk’s Most Active Small Village 2013 in annual awards by Suffolk County Council, while Eye took the runners-up accolade as the Most Active Town.

Communities were judged on how well they promoted healthy, active lifestyles. Worlingworth was found to offer many activities at its Community Centre while The Worlingworth Wayfinder, a local map of footpaths and bridleways, was used by all and there were lots of community events to get people involved.

Eye was judged to offer many opportunities, including traditional team sports, while its skate and bike park, cricket ground and playing field were well used.
