Mid Suffolk District Council have issued a notice of uncontested election for the parish of Eye.
The Council have 15 positions and 12 have been filled. We will be seeking to fill the 3 vacancies by co-option. If you are interested in becoming a Councillor please contact the Town Clerk on 07713 196251 or email townclerk@eyesuffolk.org

The Annual Town Meeting is not a council meeting it is a meeting of the town electors and often involves the Town Council partners such as the Police, the District Council and the County Council. Local organisations are invited to provide a report on their activities and all electors are entitled to attend and ask questions or raise issues.
It is also when the Civic Awards are presented to those nominated for the excellent community work delivered in the previous year.
This year the annual town meeting is early due to the local elections for Town and District Councillors. This may limit some of the discussions as both Council’s are in purdah at the moment which restricts what Councillors are able to report.
