The following comments are based on information kindly provided by Charles Flatman.

As many of you are already aware, Pauline Seeley had a nasty fall at the end of last week, and broke a leg.  She needed an operation on what was a serious fracture, and remained in hospital until yesterday.  Happily, she is now home again.  As you can imagine, Tony’s priority has been and will remain the care of his wife.

I understand the Eye Post Office is privately owned and operated, and is not thus part of a centrally managed operation.  The future will very much depend on how things progress within the Seeley family.

I will update you as soon as I have further information on the subject of re-opening.

Meanwhile, I am sure you will wish to join with me in sending best wishes to Pauline for a speedy recovery.

Eye town mayor Linda Cummins presented a cheque for £180 to Eye Community Centre at the start of its monthly bingo night.
