Renewables company Triodos Renewables have just launched a community benefit fund which will enable communities near Eye access to funding to improve local buildings.
The scheme will offer the opportunity for communities to receive up to £4,000 in funding to implement energy efficiency measures, and we hope this will lead to substantial benefit for communities up and down the country.

The Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, Amber Rudd, has today granted consent for the proposed gas fired power station at Eye Airfield, Eye.

MP Dr Dan Poulter has been elected to the Energy and Climate Change Select Committee in Parliament.
The Committee is appointed by the House of Commons to examine the expenditure, administration and policy of the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and its associated public bodies.
The Post Office have contacted the council to confirm the plans to move the Eye branch from Broad Street to McColls, 7 Church Street, IP23 7BD.
There will be a number of changes to McColls to add a new post office counter and improve access (including wheelchairs). A very wide range of services will be available. There will also be an improvement to opening hours throughout the week, including all day on Saturday and Sunday.
There will be a short period of distruption to services during the cross over. The current branch will close at 17:30 on Wednesday 5th August 2015 and the new branch will open on Thursday 6th of August at 13:00.
